The unreasonable (wo)man

Being an unreasonable person has always had a negative connotation for most. However, the following quote points to a new and enlightening perspective. Have a read and see what you think.

Being an unreasonable person has always had a negative connotation for most. However, the following quote points to a new and enlightening perspective. Have a read and see what you think.

“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable (wo)man.”

George Bernard Shaw

It’s an interesting perspective right?!. I have a confession! I myself have found myself on many occasions to be unreasonable in pursuit of something good. To question the status-quo that many men and women are happy to reside in if it does not serve the bigger picture. What we need more of in this VUCA world is unreasonable people. Unreasonable people in service of what’s good for the business and its people.

Be unreasonable in service of something good. Create an impact that serves anything but your ego.
